Pritchard Amplifiers

product types:

  • solid state amplifiers

Information:

Pritchard Amplifiers were made by Eric Pritchard in Berkeley Spings, West Virginia. Pritchard began working on his guitar amplifier design with Paul Reed Smith. This cooperation produced six chassis structures and many more amplifier designs that ended with an attempt to market in 1991. Pritchard began again after that and called the research operation Deja Vu Audio. Under this banner, he developed solid-state circuitry for mimicking the characteristics of classic and vintage amplifiers. The result is a new and unique tone that demanded a new company name, Pritchard Amps. The range included:

  • Black Claymore: High-Line Two-channel Combos and Head/Cabinet setups.
  • Sword: Two-channel Low Cost Guitar Combos.
  • Dagger: Single-channel Low Cost Guitar Combos.
  • Margeaux: Extended Range Acoustic Combos.
  • Bass-Acoustic: High Power Bass Amplification

By 2021 however the Pritchard Amplifiers website was inactive and Eric Pritchard had retired from making amplifiers.
