Gerhard Schnabl (born 1939) is a German luthier. In 1953 he began a carpentry apprenticeship. From 1954 to 1957 he learned stringed instrument making in Bubenreuth - gaining his journeyman's qualification in 1957 and his masters qualification in 1968. He opened his own master luthiers workshop in 1975 in Bubenreuth, moving in 1978 to the neighboring village of Bräuningshof. He specialises in the constructino of classical guitars.
