Silvia Zanchi (born 1981) is an Italian luthier. She studied at the Civic School of Luthiery in Milan, graduating in 2004. She completed a specialist diploma in restoration of stringed instruments in 2005. She then worked with Maestro Lorenzo Frignani of Modena, where she studied the construction techniques of plucked instruments, in particular the classical guitar. In addition to making instruments she has also taught at the Civic School of Luthiery in Milan, taught seminars on finishing techniques and published several technical notebooks on the use of shellac. Currently she is dedicated to the construction and restoration of plucked musical instruments, in particular classical concert guitars and copies of historical originals.
