Information:

Soldano is an American amplifier company founded in 1986 by Michael J. Soldano. Soldano began building guitars in the late 1970s and made his first amplifier in collaboration with Doug Roberts in 1982. He relocated to work in Stars Guitars in San Francisco where he worked on modifying Marshall amps. He moved back to Seattle with a new right-hand man, Bill Sundt from Star Guitars, and by 1985 they had built the first run of Soldano amps. There followed another move back to California, this time to Los Angeles where he started his guitar & amp building workshop. Soon Soldano SLO amps were being played by guitar royalty including Steve Lukather, Vivian Campbell, Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler and Prince. Michael Soldano retired from amp building and sold the company in 2019 to Boutique Amps Distribution staying on as a designer.
