Tomkins Guitars was founded in 1990 by who Allan Tomkins makes custom guitars, basses, lap-steels and mandolins in Australia. Tomkins guitars are often made from exotic Australian hardwoods and softwoods: Poplar, Tasmanian King Billy Pine, Blackwood, Queensland Silky Oak or Coachwood. Tomkins guitars are all made by hand and custom modifications are catered for.
