Uwe Schölch (born 1976) founded Tonfuchs Guitars in 2005.  Schölch built his first instrument in 1994. In 1996 he started a 3-year apprenticeship at Schack guitars to become a luthier and plucked string instrument maker. Between 2001 and 2006, Uwe worked at Nik Huber Guitars. Since 2005 Tonfuchs Guitars has been growing steadily. In 2021 the product-line included 4 guitar models and 2 bass-guitars.
