Information:

Joe Veillette learned guitar making in the early 1970s with Michael Gurian and made acoustic guitars until 1975 when he founded Veillette-Citron guitars with Harvey Citron. Veillette-Citron guitars proved popular and were played by some well know guitarists: in 1978, John Sebastian ordered a baritone guitar, resulting in the Veillette-Citron Shark. The company closed in 1983 and since then Veillette and Citron have formed separate guitar making companies.
