- classical guitars
Roger Allan made his first classical guitar in 1960, using the traditional Spanish method. While working in Paris in the 1960s that he came under the influence of Robert Bouchet's instruments, the simplicity of his working methods was an inspiration. As a teacher, a player and a maker, Allan had the good fortune to study and play guitars of most of the great makers. Throughout his career he experimented with all kinds of wood, glues, bracing patterns, tone bars, synthetics, acoustics and many other elements concerning the guitar and its construction.
