Zoot basses (circa 2022) are handmade in Essex, UK by Michael K Walsh. Walsh previously used the Iceni Zoot brand name and founded Iceni Zoot Ltd. - a bass manufacture and retail company which ran from 2002 to 2007. Some of the Zoot production models - such as the 1990s performer bass, were made in Japan.
