I recently got this guitar from a friend.  The tail piece has crushed the spruce top end by the peg button.   I am in the process of fixing it.  Nice solid Spruce top. Laminate rosewood back and sides.   Real wood inlay in the rosette and Mother of Pearl crown and Espana inlayed into the headstock.  Has the Gibson "Open Book" Headstock design.  I think it will be a pretty nice guitar once I get her fixed up.

This guitar was made in Finland.

Looks like a 1960s Espana

Thanks for posting! From the pickguard shape it looks like a 1960s model.

Espana model 2108

I have one of these guitars and am wondering what is in the back slot of the bridge behind the adjustable saddle as the slot on mine is empty. My guess is some kind of felt to dampen the ringing of the strings between the saddle and the tailpiece?? Serial number on mine is 128618 and also has what looks like ?70 , possibly a 1970 model? The rosette on mine is slightly different but otherwise looks identical with the model number 2108 clearly marked on label. Thanks for any advice, rob m.
