I'm not sure about the exact dates, but I just picked up one built in 1980, so these dates they posted may be for a reissue of some kind.

Pre 1995

Alvarez re-used model numbers as they changed product lines.  The "Artist" series was launched in the mid-90's.  I have a '76 5014 and in those days is was called the  Alvarez "Folk Flat Top".
