This should be fixed in the latest version

I downloaded the trial version of AutoCAD LT and found it that lines not connected to faces were causing a problem.

I have changed the plugin and it works with every model I have tried so far,

AutoCAD LT 2002

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for your great work!

I have the same problem with AutoCAD LT 2002; only lines are visible and no faces. My architect thinks my designs cannot be used like this. The design is a small building, with windows and doors, without any funny unconnected lines, as far as I can judge. I tried the different exporting modes and I get the same result on each.

Plugin version november 2009. Tried on Win2000 and WinXP, and on both SketchUp 6 and 7. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Bo

Faces in AutoCAD LT

Hi Bo

It sounds like you are doing everything right, but somehow AutoCAD LT is not accepting the faces as valid.

Is there somewhere in AutoCAD LT where you can set the tolerance / precision for imported files, maybe there is a very small discrepancy in the position of the start and end points of the faces and AutoCAD sees them as invalid.

The exporter does not export textures, transparency and colours of faces so maybe it is just a display thing - maybe the faces are really there but just displaying as lines.

Can you send me a copy of the file to [email protected]?

Nathan

AutoCAD LT 2002

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for checking my files, which fortunately were ok. So your plugin is doing a great job!

You were right about AutoCAD LT not displaying faces, even though they are there. I fiddled with my Spanish version and found a simple solution:

Click:  Ver (View) -> Ocultar (Hide). That's it!

My experience with Autocad is limited, so if anyone has a better solution, or knows how to change the default view to see faces, I'd like to know!

Cheers,

Bo
