The Warwick Fortress One bass was introduced in 1993, the second Warwick with a bolt-on neck following the Warwick Corvette model. It was the entry level Warwick model at the time and was available in 4 and 5 string configuration with a 3 piece flamed maple body, wenge neck and fingerboard. The Fortress neck was perhaps the widest of the Warwick models - at 45mm for the 4-string version it was comparable with a Fender Precision bass. The distinctive long upper horn body shape was designed to be perfectly balanced in the playing position.

WARWICK produced the FORTRESS FLASHBACK between 1996 and 1999. It had a 2 or 3 piece - ash body, wenge neck and fingerboard. Celluloid mother of pearl pickguard, and choice of satin finishes: natural, red, and honey. Passive volume, blend and tone. Pickups were 2 MEC lipstick tubes. Chrome Hardware. (2-Tek bridge was available on request.)

Production of the Fortress Flashback 5 String began in 1996 and ended in 1999. This was the five string version of the retro looking Flashback with a pearloid pickup and lipstick MEC pickups.

The FORTRESS MASTERMAN was made between 1996 and 2000. Taking the Fortress One model as a starting point, WARWICK developed the Fortress Master Man. The body is flamed maple and has a  bolt-on 3-piece ovangkol and wenge neck. The  MEC Twin-Jazz pickups are mounted in the harmonic "sweet spot". The bass and the treble of each of the two coils can be controlled separately offering quick access to a broad range of sounds.
