- electric guitars
Dates of manufacture:
Cort introduced the G250 model in 2001 and it went on to become one of their best selling guitars. It is a stratocaster style electric guitar - like the G200, but it has extra rock credentials with a coil-tappable humbucker at the bridge and a basswood body.
When introduced in 2001 the G250 had Mighty Mite pickups in HSS configuration, a Wilkinson VS50-II tremolo & roller nut, push-pull tone control - to coil tap the humbucker, small offset dot position markers and finish options were two tone sunburst (G250-2T), transparent red (G250-TR) or transparent blue (G250-TB).
Later versions of the G250 have different specifications (circa 2015): the roller nut is replaced by a standard nut, the fingerboard position markers are centrally placed abalone dots, the pickups were changed to Bluebucker Pro BPEG5-F & BPEG5-M & BPANC-2R, pickup was changed from white to pearloid and the finish options were Tobacco Burst (G250-TAB) or Black (G250-BK).
Cort described the G250 as follows in 2001:
"With a beautifully contoured body and fast satin-finiahed hard rock maple neck, playing the G250 will make you feel like your flying. The hum-sing-sing pickup combination with coil tap allows the player to pursue any kind of music. A very versatile guitar with a wide tonal range"
