I have a 2000 Dean Artist cse natural that I got in 2001 and it remains the best playing guitar I think that I've ever played. With this nice tuning machines all the notes are there with very decent base and right up to the top cuz I use the whole fretboard. And I must say that it plays better than my Taylor 814cse though I do miss the ebony fretboard. Nonetheless I've had dozens of guitars and my Dean remains great sounding and playing. And the support from Dean in Florida has been tremendous couldn't thank them enough. I got mine for $300 there's not a scratch on it after 20 plus years cuz I fingerpick. Just a 'tip of the hat' for this guitar.

Dean Artist CSE GN 2003 , this was my first acoustic guitar, I have never once thought about selling it or trading. I have now 7 acoustics and still love my Dean. It is a very well built guitar that has held up fantastic.(2020 now). It has a crisp complex sound, I love it for finger picking. If set up correctly its the easiest playing guitar of my collection. The neck is super fast due to the shape and finish. Intonation is excellent , as well as sustain. It lacks a deep bass, and not my choice for flat picking. That being said, like cars and trucks each has a purpose, and for me this guitar is a fully loaded Korean made High performance sports car. If you have a chance to pick one up dont hesitate. Happy Playing!
