The Dean Mach V bass was only made for two years between 1985 and 1986, and they are hard to come across. Not super collectable, because it's just another middle of the road bass. However it does have a very unique body style: truly one of a kind and unmistakable . The narrow depth, yet very long body makes for epic sustain and tone. Simple and easy to use basic controls, with a very high output. Great for effects. Bass came as a 4 string, with basic hardware. A very narrow jazz style neck makes for fast fingering, but the body does hinder playing style a bit. All in all, fun to play, an eye catcher, and all around good rock bass. Don't expect old school blues bass sound though, its sound, like its looks, are unique.
