Just got on of these, It is not plywood, it is solid wood, it has a Floyd type trem on it not the Kahler copy, this must be on of the ones that were built earlier because it is of very good build quality. I know these guitars and would not have got it had it not been decent at least. Plays great, action can be dropped to 1mm with zero fret buzz. Even thought it has EMG Selects, they sound very good, we used to think these sucked back in the eighties but really they are not bad pickups at all. The 3 mini switches can allow you to have several different sounds because unlike a strat you can any variation of pickups on at any given time. This one is very well made I cant say that about everyone simply because I have seen others on the net that did not seem as nice. I am sure they cut quality as they made them. Price was 235 and it is VERY clean with no issues whatsoever.
