- acoustic guitars
Dates of manufacture:
1948 to 1958
EPIPHONE manufactured the Broadway Regent between 1948 and 1958
|Purchased as a birthday gift for me in 1957. I was 13 years old then ( I am now 66 ). I still have this guitar. Still plays and sounds great. I added a D'Armond floating pick up which was professionally fitted to the bottom of the guitar neck in the early 60's. No holes were cut into the body. The volume and tone controls were built into the pick guard. This guitar has a vine pearl inlay in the headstock which looks like late 40's or early 50's production. All hardware is gold plated. It is a blonde finish with spruce top, curly maple sides and book-matched maple back. A very attractive guitar in my opinion.
