EPIPHONE made the De Luxe Regent between 1949 and 1953. It was the single cutaway version of the Epiphone De Luxe archtop acoustic. These were top of the line instruments, with hand-carved book matched spruce tops, figured curly maple back and sides, gold plated hardware and Brazilian rosewood fingerboards. The electrified version of this model was known as the Zephyr De Luxe Regent.

This model was replaced by the De Luxe Cutaway model in 1954.
