The EPIPHONE GRANADA model E444T is a hollow-bodied, thin-line, non-cutaway electric guitar made between 1962 and 1970. The single coil Melody-Maker pickup, both controls (volume and tone) and output jack are mounted on a white acrylic finger-rest pickguard. Tuners were deluxe enclosed plate-mounted units with oval buttons  A single cutaway version (the E444TC) was also available from 1965 to 1970. Epiphone described the  E-444T as follows in 1962:

An electric Spanish guitar with exclusive, patented finger-rest pickup plus superb Epiphone features and tonal versatility . . . all available at a popular price. A lightweight, thin body with arched maple top and back and a mahogany rim. A slim, fast, low action one-piece mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod which joins the body at the 14th fret. Rosewood fingerboard and pearloid dot inlays. Adjustable rosewood bridge and nickel-coated trapeze tailpiece. Powerful pickup mounted off the body in a new acrylic finger-rest. Individual tone and volume controls . . . cord jack mounted on this highly styled finger-rest. Shaded finish.

I bought a used E444T in 1972 and loved it from the start. Still have that same guitar and jamed with friends over the weekend. Still plays and sounds great even acoustically. Glad I held onto it.
