I agree 100% mines a Korean one IV had mine since 1986 .unbelievable IV had all sorts of matons Taylors this one I kept cause like me getn better with age.

Bought this new from music store in 1992, it just keeps sounding better every year. My go to acoustic!
My Hummingbird plays easier but it is only a few years old and the wood has not aged like the Fender.
The sound of the 25+ year old Fender is absolutely amazing!

I own many guitars including a Taylor 614CE and the San Marino is the one I go to every time.

According to the Blue Book of guitars: "The [Fender] California series was introduced circa 1982. Models were produced in Japan from 1982 to 1985 and then Korea from 1985 until 1994. The California Series was reintroduced in 2005, and instruments are produced in China."
The San Marino model was made from around 1990 to 1994 - so it looks like it was made in Korea.
