2002$719.99newguitar-listFender's U.S. suggested retail price for a new SJ-65..
1999$325newMikkiThe only reason I got it at this price was because guitar center was having a huge blowout sale or something with alot of discounts. When the discounts totaled up it came to about half off! I love my Fender SJ-65! It has great sound.
2002$325goodNice. It's made of real wood--not plywood or Nato or whatever the marketers call that trash lumber they get off the bottom of the trucks where the bark falls off the logs. Not high-end, but a real nice couch strummer.

I bought my Fender SJ65S in 1999 at Lidgett Music in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I still own it. It gigged with me for several years in and around the areas of southeast Nebraska. This is a very fine guitar! It is extremely well built and it plays and projects beautifully! South Korea (a.k.a., Korea) is renowned for its beautiful women and its fine craftsmanship in absolutely everything they build. I would hold up my SJ65S against any acoustic guitar (except a Martin dreadnought). IF you have an opportunity to purchase one of these fine instruments, BUY IT! I just played mine a few minutes ago and I could not help but marvel over the fact that the guitar looks absolutely as new as the day I brought it home! I own several guitars, by the way, and I have played the SJ65S more than any other (along with my 1998 Fender Telecaster Plus, made in California). Thanks, Leo! Thanks, Lidgett! Thanks, Korea! (Too bad one can't get a Korean girl rather as easily!) Good luck!

I have been Playing Music Since 1948; Owned a lot of guitars. Have A Martin; (upper Model) Gibson (J200) . I do a lot Of shows. When I play the acoustic I play the Fender , I have Electronics On board ; It is one of the Better sounding Guitars Made. . The Only problem I see is Fender is An established Telecaster/Stratocaster sound, And the Not Knowing sound Musicians Look down there Nose When they see you playing a Acoustic Fender.
