I would have given this guitar 5 stars if not for two things. When using the bridge pickup in split mode it hums terribly. A lot worse than a Strat. Second, The neck is very susceptible to even slight changes in humidity. Adjusting the truss rod will remedy the problem. Not a good guitar to take on the road. Other than that this is a great instrument. The Kahler floating tailpiece takes some time to figure out how to tune up the guitar so it will stay in tune but once you figure it out it's very stable. The neck profile is wide but thin. I really like it since I have very large hands. The ebony fingerboard is as good as any Gibson I have or have ever played. Has a very durable finish. I played it as my main gigging guitar for years and the finish is still almost like new.
