These stratocasters were made by Fender Japan, and not widely available in Europe or the USA. Most well known was the pink paisley strat, but there was also a blue flower one and a reissued 1972 stratocaster. By 1995 production had ceased.

 | FENDER PAISLEY STRAT (JAPAN MODELS)Fender Japan introduced the Pink Paisley stratocaster from 1988 and it was made off and on until around 2008. This is more or less a standard stratocaster, with a basswood body, large headstock and bullet truss rod adjustment. What makes it special is the pink floral paisley finish, which was printed on foil backed paper and glued to the body and pickguard before being oversprayed. |
