Dates of manufacture:

1995 to 2000

The Japanese made Fernandes Vertigo Standard (originally called the H-65 model) has an unusually shaped oversized  alder body, which combined with its pearloid scratchplate, gives it a retro vibe and good ergonomics. The neck is bolt on and made from maple, with a 22 fret rosewood fretboard. The headstock has three a side tuners, with a sort of wave shape on the end (tsunami headstock) and a white FERNANDES decal. The scale length is 24.75 inches.

The bridge is a chrome plated wraparound unit. Pickups are two humbuckers, with a three way toggle selector switch and single tone and volume controls.

The colors may help date these guitars since the finish options changed over time. They were originally available in available in Black, Pale Cobalt, or Vivid Orange but in 1998, Dark Red and Vintage Metallic Blue finishes were introduced. In 1999, pale Cobalt, Vivid Orange, Dark Red and Vintage Metallic Blue Finishes were discontinued. Finally in 2000, Three-Tone Sunburst and Dark Green Metallic finishes were added as options in 2000 before FERNANDES stopped making the VERTIGO STANDARD (H-65) model in 2000.

Photo from e-bay auction February 2010,  the guitar sold for $187.50.
