hi...i recently aquired a framus electric banjo....it seems identical to the framus electric guitar banjo except it has 5 strings ....the same as a standard banjo.....can you tell me anything about it? thanks

I searched the usual places (google, framus vintage, vintaxe etc) when I spotted that Framus electric banjo guitar on eBay - but I couldn't find ANY information. I think it must be a relatively unusual instrument. The pickups look consistent with mid 1960s Framus guitars - maybe its from that era? I'm sure someone else knows more - maybe try a specialist banjo forum?
