  • bass guitars

Dates of manufacture:

1958 to 1961

Introduced by Selmer in their 1958 catalog as the Futurama bass, this model was also advertised elsewhere as the Resonet or Jolana Arco model. This electric bass was made by the Czechoslovak Republic State Musical Instrument manufacturer CSHN for distribution by Selmer in the UK. Designed to be played upright with a floor spike this bass also had an adjustable and detachable knee rest - so could presumably be played sitting down. It had twin pickups, a single volume control and was supplied with a co-axial cable and twin jack plugs.
