I purchased my guitar serial no 99090981 probably in 2000 after playing it in the music store over a period of 6 to 9 months every time I went to have a look around. I just love its sound, full well rounded and my go to guitar when playing some Neil Young. Overall the guitar now 20 years old still looks mint the finish is still perfect and all the hardware perfect. The only thing that I have personalized is the nut and the bridge. I made replacements out of cow bone and I am very happy with the results. For me this is a keeper! A very happy owner.

I bought my Fender SJ65S in 1999 at Lidgett Music in Council Bluffs, Iowa. I still own it. It gigged with me for several years in and around the areas of southeast Nebraska. This is a very fine guitar! It is extremely well built and it plays and projects beautifully! South Korea (a.k.a., Korea) is renowned for its beautiful women and its fine craftsmanship in absolutely everything they build. I would hold up my SJ65S against any acoustic guitar (except a Martin dreadnought). IF you have an opportunity to purchase one of these fine instruments, BUY IT! I just played mine a few minutes ago and I could not help but marvel over the fact that the guitar looks absolutely as new as the day I brought it home! I own several guitars, by the way, and I have played the SJ65S more than any other (along with my 1998 Fender Telecaster Plus, made in California). Thanks, Leo! Thanks, Lidgett! Thanks, Korea! (Too bad one can't get a Korean girl rather as easily!) Good luck!

I have been Playing Music Since 1948; Owned a lot of guitars. Have A Martin; (upper Model) Gibson (J200) . I do a lot Of shows. When I play the acoustic I play the Fender , I have Electronics On board ; It is one of the Better sounding Guitars Made. . The Only problem I see is Fender is An established Telecaster/Stratocaster sound, And the Not Knowing sound Musicians Look down there Nose When they see you playing a Acoustic Fender.
