had this guitar since 2004/5ish and it goes through stages where it stays in its case for quite a while before i bust it out. But when i do, good greif man! This baby Howls, its a real Rocker that can hold its own up against guitars in the more expensive price range for sure. I find i am constantly surprised by the Flame Kat whenever i get it out to play it. Bigsby is great, tuning stability is fair, the neck feels great and the detail of the dice inlay give this guitar a real vibe. Its a great step towards a hollow body gretsch style guitar without needing to take the plunge and fork out big $$$ i found that for punk rock and alternative rock the Flame Kat at times is almost too good, it responds to overdrive/distortion so well it kind of gets me by Suprise each time i play it.

I bought this guitar when it came out years ago as a bit of a joke because of its look and because it was cheap. This guitar is no joke. Im impressed. Once set up, it plays great but i had to make 1 change. I replaced the bridge with "roller rockers" and its much better now regarding staying in tune. Before, using the bigsby tremolo, sometimes it wouldnt go back into tune, but after seapping the bridge part out, its great. I play anythimg from "jangly, clean" to "80s rock" to todays "pop" with it and its good. Blues is where it likes to shine i think however, on the front pickup. The paint finish is "ok" but on close up inspection you can tell the finish is a a big decal printed off a computer. Not complaining about it, just an observation. I definitely use it more than i thought i would, and you will too.
