Bought mine imported from japan in 1998 cos at the time I was a huge fan of Sonic youth and Lee ranaldo had one. It's sounds like a Gibson mixed with a telecaster. It's built like a Tank and sounds amazingly! It got the coolest neck I ever had, fast and comfortable the pick up are warm but very bright and mighty. You can play everyting with from jazz to heavy noisy. For only 170 000 dollars you had one of the best guitar ever made ( the edge played one)

It's of course well known to be U2 and Lee Ranaldo's guitar but I bought mine in Japan back in 1997. This Fernandes sounds better than any $3500 Fender custom shop I tried. It's a really rare guitar!

Fernandes Decade Custom (A2) electric guitar

Production of the DECADE CUSTOM (DECADE-A2) began in 1997 and ended in 1999. Initially known as the Decade A2 - later versions were called the Decade Custom.  It was the 2 humbucker & fixed bridge version of the Decade Standard model. The large telecaster style bridge enveloped the bridge humbucker. When first introduced this model was available with a Fernandes Sustainer Standard pickup systerm as an optional extra.
