2003 Gibson X-Plorer Studio , Only made 2003-2004 Very kewl little axe, the 70's profile neck is comfortable and my back wasn't breaking after 90 mins on stage with this little beast. The mini-hums were surprisingly hot. Not what I expected from these ceramics. Very much a Firebird-esque tone. At a hair over 7 Lbs. it's light, not like my old Mahogany Explorer which killed me after 4 or 5 songs on stage. Matthias Jabs (SCORPIONS Guitarist) did an awesome job on the cut down redesign. I have never had any beefs or grief with this guitar, finish has held up well to light gigging.I wish Gibson would post production numbers and more on the design process for these guitars , that info is elusive !
