In 1986 Gibson reissued their iconic dual pickguard Everly Brothers signature acoustic calling it the J-180. Production lasted until 1992 when the name was changed back to The Everly Brothers guitar until 1994 when the name went back again to the J-180! Gibson’s J-180s are made in the company’s Bozeman, Montana, factory.

In 2011 Gibson introduced the Billie Joe Armstrong signature J-180 with a modified V-profile neck to Armstrong’s specifications and Fishman Matrix VT reamp and piezo pickup System.
