GIBSON produced the LG-0 between 1958 and 1974. The LG-0 was a budget ladder-braced acoustic, popular as a student instrument and a top seller for Gibson in the late 1950s and early 1960s. LG-0s had mahogany tops from 1958 until 1969 then spruce tops from 1969 to 1974. The early models had rectangular rosewood bridges, these were changed to more reliable (but worse sounding!) plastic bolted on bridges in 1962. The bridge was changed back again to a standard one in 1969. The pickguards changed shape in 1963 and again in 1970.
