GIBSON MODEL O & STYLE U HARP SERIES

GIBSON STYLE O (1902-1907)

GIBSON produced the MODEL O between 1902 and 1907. It was one of Gibson's first mass produced models following the Orville Gibson's sale of his one-man company. Several sizes were available: standard (12" wide), concert (13" wide) and grand concert (16" wide). They also came with varying levels of ornamentation, binding and inlay (from the basic O, through O1, O2 to the fanciest O3). It initially had a paddle shaped headstock, this was changed to a slotted headstock in 1906
