To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their iconic Les Paul electric guitar, Gibson made around 60 LES PAUL CUSTOM TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY guitars between 1974 and 1975. It had a single sharp cutaway mahogany body with a bound maple top. The 22 fret fingerboard was ebony and has a "Twentieth Annivesary" block inlay at the 15th fret.
This model has a similar name to (and should not be confused with) a series of four limited production 20th Anniversary Custom Shop models which Gibson released in 2013 to celebrate the anniversary of its custom shop.
