1981 | $1150 | new | Joe D. | My Dad bought it for me when I was 15 years old from "Alex axe" om 48th st in NYC. Beautiful guitar. It is a Cherry sunburst. Now 36 years later the guitar looks like a heavy relic. Never abused, just constantly played for 37 years. The guitar in its relic like condition is stunning to look at. Nice flame maple top. Over the years i had to change the electronics and I took the Shaws out and put in Hot Lindy Fralins 14k & 13k. The Fralins sound beautiful in this guitar. I also put 500k Volume & tone pots in the guitar. I usually roll back the tone to around 7 and this makes the guitar really sing.. The neck is really comfortable. A little bit chunk but by no means a boat neck. I still have the original brown Lifton case with the pink inside. I retired the Lifton case back in 1990. I keep the guitar in a Protector A.K.A chainsaw case. I still play the guitar every day and on gigs that are worth it I always bring her out and I always get questions about her. Really cool guitar, my Dad was a goof man buying me gtrs like these when I was a kid. It didnt hurt that he was a guitar player too! |
1980 | $900 | new | Hand picked by S. Little at Veneman Music in MD. I still have it today and gig with it occasionally. | |
1992 | ¥460000 | good | Uetets | I bought Gibson Les Paul 80 Elite at Guiter House in Tokyo. |
