The original Gibson Tal Farlow model was the rarest of the 1960s Gibson archtops with only 215 ever made between 1962 and 1967. However since the 1990s, Gibson custom shop reissues mean that these days anyone can get their hands on the Tal Farlow model. The body is similar in shape to the Gibson ES-5 but it with a faux-scroll cutaway, inverted J-200 fingerboard inlays, double-crown headstock inlays, and a special Tal Farlow trapeze tailpiece with an inlaid rosewood block.
