Gibson's Eddie Lang pick (no. 80-L) - was the signature pick of Eddie Lang the father of jazz guitar. The Eddie Lang pick was made from brown celluloid tortoise shell, stamped with "Lang", had a laminated white corrugated grip and came in medium or heavy thickness. They cost $1.50 for a dozen in 1939 - although Lang had died six years earlier in 1933 .
