GRETSCH made the SILVER JET MODEL 6129 between 1955 and 1963. The Silver Jet 6129 was a sparkly version of the Duojet (6128) model. The silver sparkle finish is Nitron plastic glued over a maple top (the same plastic material that Gretsch used as a finish on their drums on the 1950s).
From 1963 Duojets with sparkle finish became available.
