Guild A-350 Stratford

Someone correct me if I'm wrong (Hans Moust?), but I think the 'A350' designation only came in from 1956 onwards (start of the 'A' series) when the Stratford's scale length reduced from 25 & 1/2" to 24 & 3/4", with a corresponding change in pickguard design & body shape/dimensions. All-acoustic long-scale Stratfords as seen in the catalogs - for whatever reason - appear to be incredibly rare.....I've only ever seen one (the worse for wear) on USA E-Bay in the last 10 years.................maybe Santa will bring me one this year ?
Currently I'm making do with a '62 Framus Grand Star - which uncannily (barring the 'flyaway' Euro headstock design and Roger-ish F-hole shape) is almost an exact replica of a '62 Guild A-350: same body shape & depth, same fingerboard/neck dimensions, and solid woods with heavily pronounced carving of 2-piece top and back. Of course it doesn't sound quite the same.......but then it did cost less than 10% of what I might be expected to pay for a Guild A-350 at today's prices.
