GUILD introduced the Cordoba T-50 "Slim" in 1961 and made it until 1973. It was a thinline version of the Guild X-50, with a body thickness of around 2 inches. The T-50 had one single-coil P-90 style pickup with plastic cream cover from 1961-1964 and a metal cased single-coil unit from 1964 onwards. The headstock (with Guild logo) was Gibson style up to 1964 and then domed style from 1964 on. The pickguard shape also changed in 1964 from rounded to stair-step shaped.
In 2015 Guild reissued this model as the Newark Series Guild T-50 Slim.
