GUILD manufactured the X-175 MANHATTAN between 1954 and 1984. It was a single cutaway hollow bodied electric. From 1954-1962 the X-175 had two soap bar single coils, but these were replaced by two humbuckers from then on. Finish was sunburst or more rarely blonde (the X-175B model).
The X-175 Manhattan was reissued in 2013 as part of the Korean made Newark Street Collection. It has most of the 1950s specifications (including a completely floating rosewood bridge) but has the modern Guild headstock and jumbo frets. Also available in Blonde finish with a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece as the X-175B Manhattan.
