Mike Einziger (born June 21, 1976 in Los Angeles, California) is the multi-instrumentalist, co-writer and guitarist of the alternative rock band Incubus, as well as his own side project band, Time Lapse Consortium, including fellow Incubus band members Ben Kenney and Jose Pasillas.

Instruments that he has played on Incubus records include guitar, piano, Mellotron, pipa, analog synthesizers, tape samplers, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, as well as many others. He has also played a Jerry Jones Guitars Master Sitar on "Nowhere Fast" from the Make Yourself album (live, he simply plays the sitar part with his guitar), and a Pipa on "Aqueous Transmission". Mike also plays electric piano on songs like "Here In My Room" and has played piano on live versions of "Drive."

During Incubus's recent world tour Mike had an operation to correct Carpal tunnel syndrome. Following this Einziger had an extended period of time in which he couldn't pick up a guitar, (he is now fully recovered and able to play full shows), allowing him to complete work on another side project 'End.>Vacuum' which will be performed on August 23rd (2008) in Los Angeles (UCLA Royce Hall). Pipa

I want to find that pipa! I’ve purchased a few and none are capable of reproducing that quality tone. Who makes that pipa you play?

Thank you
