The Hamer SCARAB XT Series model (introduced in 2005) uses the radical explorer style Hamer Scarab body design dating back to the mid 1980's. The Scarab XT Series featured a set maple neck and alder body with a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays. The two powerful Hamer humbucking pickups were designed to drive your amp into heavy distortion. Finish colors were black or fire engine red. The XT Series Scarab was discontinued around 2008.

2005 | $300 | new | Deb | This was my first electric guitar and it’s still my favorite. The only thing missing is a whammy bar. I bought the black one first, and then awhile later I saw the red one on sale for only $200 and bought that one as well. I still have both and although I have other guitars, these are the ones I play the most. |
