1987 to 1994

The Hohner ST Scorpion was made between 1987 and 1994. The ST Scorpion looks identical to the Hohner Arbour SE 622 MXJ, which was available in 1987 in the UK - so perhaps this model was sold under different names in different countries. The ST Scorpion came with EMG Select pickups: one humbucker and two single coils controlled by 3 mini selector switchs and a coil tap in the tone knob. The Hohner ST Scorpion had an optional Steinberger KB locking tremolo.

The Hoher ST Scorpion appears to be the same model as the Hohner ST Metal S featured in the Hohner 1990/1991 catalog. The ST Metal S was offered with a white and black cracked effect finish.

I love my Hohner. It is heavy tips in at 9.3 lbs. When you play it, you know you are playing a professional guitar. The ebony fretboard feels different. The tremolo system is better than most Floyd Rose types.
