The Ibanez Fieldy K5 bass was introduced in 2002 as part of the KoRn Signature Series. The Fieldy K5 is a five string bass with mahogany body, laminated wenge/walnut (or maple/bubinga) neck, 24 fret rosewood fretboard. This bass has a K5 inlay at the 12th fret as well as a Fieldy signature on the headstock. It has two active Ibanez ADX pickups and a Vari-Mid 3-band EQ. There are 4 control knobs - although two of them are actually stacked controls - so there are 6 controls overall including balancer, volume, mid boost/cut, mid frequency, bass boost/cut and treble boost/cut.
There have been three versions of the K5 differing in finish - the initial 2002 model had a natural oil finished padauk top and back. In 2006 black finish was introduced. The 2014 limited edition version - the K5LTDWH - had a matching white finished body, neck and fingerboard with blue strings.
