IBANEZ SR1200 reviewed by Alister

I have gigged an Ibanez SR1200for the last 5 years. It has been a fantastic instrument gig on. Well balanced, stable tuning, great sounding, and good looking. Lots of mids in the inherent tone - quite woody sounding. I have experimented with different string types. Round-wounds are standard, and sound fat and bright. Flat-wounds feel nice but were too dull sounding to my ears. I now use GHS brite-flats which are gentle on the fingers but also manage to keep some high-end in your sound. I would recommend this bass.
