I found , not too long ago that the jack socket that I talked about in the last review did not have an issue and that the loose connection came from the cable I was using and tried another cable to test and prove the theory so l am please that the jack socket works just fine and I am not having any serious problems with it. I am planning to have a setup which should further enhance the bass's performance.These are really great basses so if your looking for one and are thinking about buying one, go for it, they are a definate investment!

This is a great bass guitar and is a classy and quality instrument. I have had this bass since May, 2015 and has served me well, it has been on a few gigs and has been played at least 5 days a week in the first year for a couple of hours per day then bought a Musicman Stingray 5 so it got played every other day so now I have other basses so it gets played a littlle less often but the body has two very slight, not even noticable dings that would not be seen unless you check closely( very mild) neck is in great shape, seemingly no wear on frets or fingerboard, one screw on cavity cover a little worn but is still useable, this is due to a tight-fitting barrel.The jack socket when plugged in has some internal play and don't know if this is due general wear and tear jack lead breaks contact when you move around but the jacket socket is secure to body of guitar, no problems there and when I use a Vox Amplug it works fine due to no stress of cable so will try to get the orginal part for it. I have looked online on the Ibanez website but not seen this product but believe you need a part number for it but if not will try and get a decent replacement for it. All other parts work well and don't have any issues with them.The design of the bass is well contoured and slim and fits to your body well and is a lightweight bass, the body is mahoghany with an ovangkol top, the neck is atlas 5 neck fitted with two KTS titanium rods so makes the neck rigid with less chance of warping, the neck is a 5 piece wenge/ bubinga neck with rosewood fingerboard, abalone oval inlays, 24 frets, big single coil norstrand pickups,3 band EQ III SC preamp, active/ passive switch, mid frequency switch, Gotoh tuners and a mono rail 4 bridge. The body gives a deep, warm tone where as the neck gives a crisp, darker tone. I would say that the big singles give you that fender jazz sound but fatter and more raspy, can cover all genres of music l would say.It's performance is great too, when playing up and down the neck, slapping, chords, even tapping at which I am yet to master and neck is smooth and quite fast.It is quite a hardwaring instrument and is built solidly, definately built to last.I bought for £931 and would say it is definately worth the price paid for it. Great bass!
