MARTIN made the D-76 (BICENTENNIAL LIMITED EDITION) between 1975 and 1976 to commemorate the bicentennial year 1976. A total of 1976 were made plus an extra 98 instruments (designated D-76-E) exclusively for Martin workers. These have star fingerboard position markers and an American eagle on the peghead.
