MARTIN D-45 DELUXE (1993)The Martin D-45 Deluxe was made in 1993 only as part of the Guitar of the Month Series. It had a figured bear claw spruce top as well as highly ornate tree of life fingerboard inlays. Both the bridge and the pickguard were also inlaid with tree of life decoration. The bridge pins were fossilised ivory and the gold tuners have an embossed "M" logo. Only 60 were made in total. | |
No image yet | MARTIN D-45 GENE AUTRY (1994)Gene Autry ordered the very first Martin D-45 in 1933. Autry's D-45 was one of only 91 D-45s made before to World War II, you can still see it in Gene Autry's Western Heritage Museum in Los Angeles. Over 60 years later, in 1994, Martin produced a limited run of 66 D-45s replicating the Autry's original guitar. They all had their sound hole labels signed by Gene Autry and C.F. Martin IV. |

MARTIN D-45S DELUXE (1992)The Martin D-45S Deluxe was one of their Guitars of The Month made in 1992. It was based on the 1937 version of the D-45S with a solid (non-slotted) peghead. The gold tuners have ebony buttons with an inlaid abalone "M" in them. 60 were made in total. | |

It had the HD-28 style body, herringbone top purfling/ivoroid binding, diamonds and square fingerboard inlays, tortoiseshell pickguard under finish, ebony tuner buttons. Only 138 Martin HD-28SE were sold (130 in the USA and 8 elsewhere) and they were all signed by C.F. Martin III, C.F. Martin IV, and the Martin company foremen underneath the top. This model should not to be confused with the Martin H-28 Sweetwater Edition sold via Sweetwater.com. |
